This strategy aims to assist Republican candidates in retaining and potentially increasing their congressional seats. Wiles emphasized that Trump will campaign as if it were the 2024 election, highlighting the significance of his endorsements in local races.

Wiles pointed out that recent Democratic victories in local elections occurred when Trump was not on the ballot, suggesting that his presence could significantly influence voter turnout. The administration intends to shift the typical midterm focus away from local issues, instead emphasizing Trump's involvement.

To enhance Republican prospects, the strategy includes encouraging Republican-led states to engage in redistricting and gerrymandering, which could favor conservative candidates. Additionally, there is a plan to target election laws, particularly those related to mail-in voting, which tends to benefit Democratic voters.

Trump's endorsements have already begun on his Truth Social platform, and he is expected to make in-person campaign appearances. However, logistical challenges may arise due to his responsibilities as president and upcoming major events, such as the Olympics and the FIFA World Cup. Concerns about Trump's health have been raised, particularly given his age and previous signs of fatigue during his 2024 campaign, including physical symptoms attributed to his health conditions.
